To the OP...

... of course they're going to charge full price for it. I'm really disliking having to do all the PvP, but then that's what alliances are for. In general, it's not a bad game by what I've seen, costs nothing per month, and brings new things to Guild Wars. At the very least, even if there isn't much more, you still have two new classes, a bunch of new skills, and new items that you can use to just play the original campaign.

Give it some time. It's just a preview.

You come in, post inflammatory comments & want the mods to close the thread before you suffer through the flames of the righteous indignation of the community that you so richly deserve? I think not. It may well turn into a flamefest, but if it's flaming a bigot like you, it's well deserved. You are a bigot, and I DO have a problem with your opinion.

I sincerely think this is a trolling thread.

Edit: That or the threads creator just hasn't kept himself updated on the situation.

Geez stop complaining or just don't buy it. I'm very impressed with it.

Sorry if you're racist or whatever, but it's been said that it's an asian-themed culture. The Kurzicks, however, have a very major 17th/18th century stylized German/gothic influence, combined with formal Japanese style.

I for one love the new asian theme. I think it look great! As for the looks of the charicters, no better or worse than that of chapter one. As for the size, well I read somewhere (cant remember where),there will be over 50 explorable towns and areas. I cant wait to get past those wooden gates! So far is all I have done is gone out and killed things and explored a lot of the area, but i have yet to see it all, and i probibly wont before midnight Sunday But April 27th is just a month away. Give us all something to think about and look forward too.

Wow. The thread smacks of a bit of racism here. If you don't like the Asian theme, that's fine. But you keep on going on about how it's TOO asian. And then going on about how the faces (which are predominantly asian) are ugly. Basically you're going on about how anything Asian is horrible.

Take a look at this line: "(oh god i dont dare imagine if they actually expand this world and it turns out to be completely asian )"

What else are we supposed to think?

Did you not read anything about factions before now? I mean, everything I've read says it is going to be an Asian theme. I don't know what you expected or why you would expect the rest of the game to be different. Also, it is your right to not like other races or have whatever opinion you desire. But when you express your opinion openly don't expect those that disagree with you to not express their dislike of that opinion. I personally love the new theme and cannot wait to explore the entire ASIAN map.

Erm...So do I complain that Guild Wars: Prophecies was too European and complain about them charging full price? And did you just insult us Asians?

I really do hope this thread gets closed.

For a start, I am Chinese so the racist tag shouldn't apply to me.

1. I don't like how the game is so Oriental. It's just personal preference. I felt that Tyria was so much more original and diverse.
2. Calling the faces 'ugly' has got nothing to do with racism. Once again it's got to do with preference. I thought some of the faces in chapter 1 were ugly. Does that make me a racist?

I was, however, offended by that off-colour remark about Asians being cheap workers and botters. You must be one of those kids who yells racists remarks in ToA whenever Korea gets favour.

Don't be too quick to brand every racial statement as 'racist'.

EDIT: Just read this thread more carefully. I didn't realise before that the OP was the same guy who posted about not liking Asians, saying that we work for cheap and ruin MMORPGs.

Someone please delete this entire thread and ban this clown.

To OP. Go watch the map again and see how HUGE city it is. The market place was only a teaser for us.

Tyria was visually - boring!
Pre-Searing was by far the most intersting map in the entire Prophecies.

Old Ascalon was lame and boring and lacked any intersting sections. Ascalon City was so down trodden that I hated hanging out in that city comapred to LA.
Shiverpeaks? Same. Although I did enjoy Southern Shiverpeaks - harder maps, good lighting, nice change of elevation, etc, etc.

Kryta - better but not the same level as Pre-Searing.
The Wilds/Jungle? Everyone skips this - need to say more?

Crystal Desert? Uneven. Some where well done, especially on oasis type areas. Some where just boring.

BTW - Except the Catacombs - anyone noticed the lack of an INDOOR map in Prophecies????

The Catacombs alone is the best design in the entire game. I mean people make pre-searing chars just to clear the Catacombs. Which is of course is not surprising. It has been mentioned that the entire Pre-Searing section was designed LAST. This is hope.

Character design? Same as the map. Some characters (Ele and mesmer)are not that exciting. Rangers where well done and so was monks in general).

Do I have a problem with your opinion? Yes. If you state them publicly be ready for praise AND criticism. Don't want any of that? Then keep it to yourself.
